Rethinking Construction

The company has been driven by the Rethinking Construction agenda and has formed relationships with clients such as Fosseway Living and Sanctuary Housing Group, which has seen a real drive to closer working relationships throughout the supply chain that is customer focused. WPS formed the foundation for new Term Programmes through its initial partnership agreement with Fosseway Living, which has delivered substantial benefits to Fosseway and enabled a close bond to develop over the past six years. All staff have extensive experience of working in occupied properties, and the rules associated with such work (with particular reference to working in the presence of vulnerable people) 75% of all existing staff have worked on previous MTC contracts with WPS on internal kitchen and bathroom refurbishments. We encourage all staff during periodic training needs reviews to take part in further courses such as Asbestos Awareness, PASMA and various work based training initiatives. The WPS view is that the construction industry has a generally had a poor record on employment issues, and WPS likes to demonstrate that it values each member of the workforce by continuously improving their working environment, training, personal development and diversity awareness, and that it has an active commitment to an equal opportunities policy.
